HOW CAN A GENETIC CANCER TEST HELP YOU?
By understanding your genetic risk for hereditary cancer, you and your doctor can make more informed decisions about your healthcare, manage your risks, and implement preventative care which can ward off cancer or detect cancer earlier, if it should occur.

WHY SHOULD YOU GET A GENETIC CANCER TEST?
With your test results, you and your Doctor will be more aware of any serious genetic risk that you may have and can implement regular, early preventative testing and treatment, as well as lifestyle assessment to keep cancer at bay.

WHO QUALIFIES FOR THE GENETIC CANCER TEST?
If you have been diagnosed with cancer or if one or more of your blood relatives throughout multiple generations who have been diagnosed with cancer, you may qualify for the test.

HOW THE PROCESS WORKS?
You are asked a few pre-qualifying questions, and if you meet the medically necessary requirements, we then submit your pre-qualifying information to a Tele-Med facility,  Personal Physician or other qualified Healthcare Professional who may need to ask you further questions to determine your personal qualifications for your Letter of Medical Necessity to obtain your Genetic Cancer Test.

When the Healthcare Professional approves, we perform a simple mouth swab from the company provided test kit and mail it to our state-of-the-art laboratory for test completion.

WHAT DOES THE TEST COST?
Select Private Insurance PPO’s, Medicare and Medicaid in several states, have come to realize the benefit of cancer prevention through genetic DNA testing. They now cover the cost of genetic cancer testing at little or no Out-of-pocket cost for their policyholders.

How Do The Test Results Help?

  • If you do have the gene mutation, it does not mean you will get cancer.
  • If you do not have the gene mutation it does not mean you will not get cancer.

Having the gene means you are at a higher risk of getting cancer.  Having this important information, you and your doctor can then implement regular, early preventative testing, treatment, and healthy lifestyle changes to help keep cancer at bay.

You will also want to alert your family, children, and grandchildren to their possibility of also having the hereditary gene mutation, they can contact us and we will help them through the testing process.  We help families all across the USA.

WHAT IS PHARMACOGENETIC (PGX) TESTING?

In addition to genetic cancer screening (CGX), our clients also have access to Pharmacogenomic (PGX) screening. PGX screening shows how someone’s genetic variation affects their individual response to known drug therapies.

Adverse drug reactions are a major problem as many medications have adverse effects or conflict with other medications and can cause more health problems and
even pre-mature deaths.

Understanding a patient’s genetic background allows the physician to predict how a prescribed drug will impact the patient. This will also give the physician information regarding potentially undesirable drug reactions. Combining the CGX and PGX testing provides individuals information about the genetic mutations related to cancer and shows their physicians a path to more effective treatment.
